We work to enhance community services and programs by being an innovative leader in delivering state of the art, next-generation technologies.

Antietam in the Community

Antietam Broadband is active in participating, volunteering, and giving in our local community.

Antietam Broadband has worked with several local food banks, Breast Cancer Awareness programs, Washington County Public Schools and more in the past. In previous years, Antietam Broadband worked with Washington County Public Schools (WCPS) to recycle used monitors and desktops for use within the school system.

Sustainability

Go Green

The Go Green initiative includes:

  • Paperless billing
  • Online documentation with download accessibility
  • Recycling bins located throughout Antietam facilities
  • Provide more self-help tactics to our customers, to prevent less truck rolls and gasoline usage

Going Green with Fiber Internet

  • Fiber is made from sustainable materials, like silicon dioxide which is the second most abundant element
  • Fiber produces no hazardous waste or emissions
  • Fiber uses light to transmit data & provides more capacity to carry larger amounts of information
  • Fiber can reduce the amount of energy needed for Internet connection devices, like a router
  • Fiber is a more reliable form of Internet access & is less likely to require repairs

Energy $avings

The Energy saving initiative includes:
  • Change from fluorescent to LED lighting throughout Antietam facilities, to include parking lots and common areas.
  • Upgraded to motion sensor lighting
  • Installation of low flow toilets to conserve water

Antietam Innovation Fund

Antietam Broadband, in partnership with our parent company, Schurz Communications, is proud to announce the launch of the Antietam Broadband Innovation Fund in Washington County, MD. This Fund will provide investment dollars to local entrepreneur’s startup and growth companies to support, sustain and grow businesses in the county.
